Eric G. Derry draws on his experience as a counselor and negotiator, as well as his litigation experience before trial courts, administrative agencies, and quasi-judicial bodies, to assist our public-sector clients to respond to governance, general education, taxation, and land use planning and enforcement issues.

Prior to joining Stitzel, Page & Fletcher, P.C., Eric practiced for four years with a small but prominent Upper Valley firm where he represented individuals, nonprofits and other organizations on both sides of the Connecticut River. He litigated wage and benefit claims, workers’ compensation premium disputes, wrongful terminations, and alleged violations of state and federal family leave provisions. He also negotiated and enforced non-competition agreements on behalf of employers and employees, and litigated land use issues related to telecommunication facilities.

Eric’s experience helps him more efficiently identify issues and potential impediments to our client’s goals, and to work creatively to obtain positive results.

“I view our public institutions and their contributions as instruments for growth and progress. My goal is to provide first-class legal services to help our clients build the strong communities and schools that make Vermont special.”
